Quote of the Day: Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people make mistakes but they don't quit.
Morning Class: For morning class we had presentation. So we had to make sure that everything was ready for the dress rehearsal in the afternoon class. Our team was almost ready to go, a few of us had to print out some Q cards, and Oliver. H finished making our movie on the highlights. Once we were all done we presented to Mr. Morton and he gave us some feedback. He said that we had to check the spelling and grammar in our power point and that we have to make sure that we speak clearly and slowly.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had dress rehearsals. Our team got into our school uniform and we presented really well. We all spoke clearly and slowly. At the end of the night we have to hand over our master plans. From Rosebud I have to hand it over to Mrs. Picot. So all I need to do is stand up in front of everyone and read out a little speech and give Mrs. Picot our master plan. I am so excited to have our CLP day, because I thing that our team is ready for it and that we are going to do really well. We are all confident and can speak really well in front of a crowd.
Evening Class: For evening class last night we sorted out were everyone was sitting for CLP day and how the day will run. Rosebud are the in the second row. We are all so excited.
Daily Reflection Challenge: All of the good things that have happened this week were getting our CLP ready to go. A highlight of mine this week was going to the child care center and playing with the kids. Three things that I am grateful for this week are:
Quote of the Day: You don't need a title to be a leader.
Morning Class: For morning class today we had CLP. In this class we had to work out how we were going to present our CLP and then we had to present it to Mr. Morton and Mr. Johnston. To start the class our group worked on our highlights that we were going to show. Once that was done Max. D and I worked on fixing up the scrip for our role play and Jess. M wrote a script for the whole CLP presentation. Once we were ready we showed the teachers and then we got some feedback on how we went. They said that we went really well but we need to work on speaking confidently and speaking smoothly. We then went off and worked on the feedback we got.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we were meant to have the Marlo challenge, but because most of the teams were a little bit behind in there CLP's that has been postponed. So we continued doing our CLP's and making sure it would all fun smoothly on the big day.
Evening Class: For evening class last night P,O,L,P, (Progression Of Learning Project). POLP is where we have to present to our expo teams how we are going on our Personal Learning Project's. We have to do it creatively, so Miss. R gave us all a card and on the card had a creative way to share our Project. My card said My Story, so I have made up a story on how I am going and how far I have to go.
Daily Reflection Challenge: Challenges I have faced in the past week, have been getting our CLP team to do the work. We have now started to work together well. Steps to overcome this challenge was by talking to each other and figuring a way around it. This week the person that has helped me was Selina. She helped me figure out a few things and was there when I needed her.
Quote of the Day: Breathe it's just a bad day, not a bad life.
Morning Class: For morning class we had PLP. Half the students were at campus and then the other half were off at the age center, talking to them and getting to know them. In PLP, we focused on our feedback. To start the class we all sat in a circle and a said our goal. My goal was to "Ake more questions, and be confident in what I am saying". Once we had all said ours they explained the class. We had to create a way people can give us feedback on our goals. There were many different idea's. For example there were, Create a rubric, Smiley chart, 5 Question survey and the one I did was P.M.I, (Positive, Minus and Interesting.) I had to make a graph with positive, minus and interesting all at the top and then people would wright in the about my goal. I got some really helpful feedback, people said that I have almost achieved my goal, but I have to work on asking more and being confident. We all gave each other feedback, but in different ways.
When the others got make Malakai told us a funny story about the person he was with, her name is Marge. Marge said to Malakai, have you got a girlfriend and he says no I am not good with that stuff, and Marge turns around and gets a book a gives it to Malakai, the book was called how to get a girl. We all thought it was so funny that she gave that to him.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class, once the other group had come back from aged care we went off to Orbost child care center. We took two buses. Selina and I dressed up in too toos and capes. We also found a wond so we said that we were fairy's. When we first got the a little boy named Damian went on the swings with Selina and I, and then a little girl called Mia started following me, and Damian, Selina, Mia and I all kicked the footy together. We the started to run around and played on the sand pit. Damian and Mia showed Oliver. L and I the little chickens, the oldest one's name was fairy floss, it was white. We then got to feed the cows that were on the other side of the fence from us, one cow licked my hand, it’s tongue felt so wired, it kind of felt prickly but soft at the sametime. We then had story time. Mr. Gladstone told us and story, and the Tam, Ella and Izzy they all played us a song. Max. D then read out a book to us all, and then out of the blue once Max had finished ready Talithia played her guitar and sang for the kids. It was so nice. We then had to leave they were all lined up on the gate waving good bye. But on the way out Selina said "Kids make sure you put your tooth under your pillow, because I will take it and put some money there". It was so funny. When we were driving off the all were running on the fence waving goodbye. It was so much fun!
Evening Class: For evening class last night we had to right ourselves a comment about how we thought we have gone, and one to our feedback buddie and it goes into our reports.
Daily Reflection Challenge: The vibes in our expo group at the moment is really good. We are all working together really well and supporting each other. This week I have contributed to the community by getting involved in the crazy shirt day.
In the morning we had Barry Heard come and tell us his stories. We had prepared since last night because he slept a night here at Snowy and continued the next morning. He had a slide show prepared for us and we set the room in the way when we have guest speakers. I sat right at the front so I could see him clearly and hear him more clearly too. He went through some of what he experienced going to war in Vietnam and being a Vietnam veteran. His stories were very strong I found a lot of the things that Barry said very interesting. It was nice to have Barry come and tell us his story that he's never told anyone else apart from his close friend so we were the first to know about his story. He wrote books that were outstanding they were TAG, the view from connor's hill, and well done those men. He told us how much he changed while going to war and had to leave things behind like his family his girlfriend and how much he loved his dog rover. When his dog rover died he buried him and never came back when he came back the place where he buried rover was a tree that was big now.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had T.O.A.S.T. (Teach, Others, A, Skill or Talent.) There were 3 groups. I was in group one. The classes I had were, first Magic with Ronin. He showed us a trick, and then taught us how to do it. It was were you have two elastic bands and a paper click and you can make the paper click jump from each rubber band. We then had Netball with Tayla and Bridie. We first played golden child, and our team lost. We then played four corners. That it not work so well because no one knew what they were doing, and the last activity was poison ball, but it was if you dropped the ball you were out. After that class we had hair braiding with Mirella. She taught people how to braid. But because I already knew how to, I was allowed to try some new things. Selina was my model, and I did a braid from the back of her neck to the middle of her head and put it in a messy bun. It looked so cool. She then did my hair, and she did a braid going all the way around my head. We then had Hip Hop, with Tam and Izzy. It was so much fun. We have also decided to do a flash mob and formal with the dance. It will look so cool. T.O.A.S.T was so much fun, I really enjoyed being taught by the students.
In the evening class last night we did Report comment for ourselves we wrote how we went here at Snowy and how we progressed.
Daily Reflection Challenge: A Quote that I live by is: "NO Regrets" Madison Clark. I like this quote because I never want to regret things, I always want to take every opportunity I can take, because if I don't I will regret it, and will never get the chance again.
Quote of the Day:
Morning Class: Today in morning class we had First Aid. To start the class we spoke about what First Aid actually is, and who is meant to look after you if you get sick. We also went through our CPR again. We then go into groups of two's. I was with Jess A. We got a topic to research on. Our topic was major wounds. We spoke about different wounds and how to treat them. We also showed the class how to do a donut bandage.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had surfing. It was so much fun the waves were perfect for it. The guy said at the start of the class that he will be assessing us this class on out teachnecks. He said to me after a few minutes being in the water that I was AMAZING!! So he gave me a challenge, it was so catch a barrel, but because there were none today he said that I would have to surf like I was in one. It took quite a few go's to get it but then I finally got the hang of things. It was so much fun. We have noticed that over the pasted few weeks that the water has been changing temperature, it has gotten very cold, and it was kind of green today. Mr. Johnston, said to me today that it looked like I was born in the water because I was surfing like a pro.
Evening Class: For last night's class we had seminaries and Metaphors. We had to right in our one notes some seminaries and metaphors that relate to Snowy.
Daily Reflection Challenge:
You have written really well, as per usual. Mr. Johnston is right, you were AMAZING today while surfing! I was so jealous. And you did quite well teaching the class about major wounds too. Well done.
Quote of the Day: Keep people happy.
Morning Class: For morning class we had PLP (Personal Learning Project). In this class we worked on our goals and strategies to help us improve on them. I have set three goals and they all have strategies that will help me achieve them.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had CLP. This class our team we worked on our power point for the presentation and our role play that we are doing. We are moving along quickly with this project and it is coming along well. "I cannot say much about it because it is meant to be a surprise".
Evening Class: For evening class last night we had minute to win it. It was so fun. I was put in a group with Selina, Dylan and Jeromy. We came second overall. The first challenge was, you had a cracker on your fore head and you had to use all of your face mussels only to get it into your mouth. We did not do to well on that one.
Daily Reflection Challenge: All of the good things that have happened this week, were caving that was an AMAZING opportunity it was so much fun and so beautiful. I also enjoyed our enviro bike ride that was great as well. I also liked how we had to talked about a place on the bike ride.
Three thing that I am grateful for are:
Quote of the Day: Confidence comes from not always being right but not fearing to be wrong.
Today we had Enviro bike ride. We rode 40 kilometers all up. To start the day we left at normal time 9:00am. When would have to stop in special stops because the night before we choose a spot to stop at and we had to research it. Ben and I choose Cabbage palm trees. We were the second stop. We answered a few photos and then we went for a walk in the rain forest. It was so beautiful! I loved it!
Evening Class: For evening class last night we had enviro bike prep. That was where we had to research on a place that we wanted to stop at. Ben and I choose Cabbage palm trees.
Quote of the Day:
Morning Class: For morning class I had Movie Making. It was so fun. To start the class we watched a surfing short film and that gave us an idea on what we have to do, and it showed us some angles and sounds that we could do. We then got split into groups. I was in a group with Max.D, Oliver. H and Ben. Our movie is Comedy and it is set on the movie Anchor Man. I thought that our movie was so funny. (I will post it when it is finished). We then get to enter the Snowy River film festival.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had our CLP exam. I got 100% in it. All we had to do was our Doctors A,B,C,D.
Evening Class: For evening class last night we had a lady called Bee-Elle. She is a photographer, and she takes photo's of African animals. She told us how she became vegetarian, and how she had set her life out and how it change, and she was so glade that it had changed.
Daily Reflection Challenge: A question I wish I knew the answer to is:
Why is the world so un fare to each other?
Quote of the Day: Never do that "until tomorrow" which can be done today.
Morning Class: For morning class we had CPR. To start the class we watched a 7 minute video of Bondi Rescue and how they bought someone back to life. We then went through a power point on D,R,S,A,B,C,D. It stands for Doctors A B C D. We learnt about all of that and then we did CPR on the manikins. We then did a practice test, but we have our real test on Monday.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had CLP master plan. In this class we had to make a booklet together of our CLP idea and a bit about ourselves and the group. To start the class we all got into our school uniforms and took a photo for the front page of our book. We then choose the best ones. I had to right and introduction on our team and what our CLP is and how we are going.
Evening Class: For evening class last night we watched a movie called Mabo. It is an AMAZING movie. It is about a Torist straight islanders to get back is land and how he grow up, and how life as changed.
Daily Reflection Challenge: My proudest achievement for this past week was completing expo and getting up Mount Raymond. A leadership role that I have taken on this week was being team organizer for expo on the second day. I was also proud of myself then because I have not done something like that before.
Quote of the Day: "Who dares nothing, needs hope for nothing."
Morning Class: This morning's class was PLP. (Personal Learning Project). In this class we have to have three goals that connect to our classes. My goal connect with Metacognition, Self-awareness and Questions and Possibility's. In this class we set our goals, and then came up with questions to search on how we can improve on them. We had to include pictures and our websites that we had used. I really enjoyed this class because I had to think about goals and areas I had to work on.
Afternoon Class: For afternoon class we had relaxation with Miss Beck. It was an AMAZING class. At first I did not think I would enjoy this class. But it was a really good class. To start off we did a few stretches, and then we had a half body pillow. "I cannot remember the name of it", and a foam brick. We also had a rug. We then did about 6 different lying down positions, that went for about 10 minutes each. The last position that we did was the best. We had the half body pillows under our knees and then the rugs under our heads, with a silky bean bag that had lavender in it on our eyes. We laid there for about 30 minutes, and Miss Beck talked us through our body's. Though this about 7 out of 11 of us had fallen asleep because we were so tired from expo. I don't think I fell asleep but I am not sure because my head was blank, but I could hear Miss Beck but I was not listening, and I got kind of woken up my Max.D, because he was patting me on the hand. But the class was AWAESOME!!! I really enjoyed it.
Evening Class: For evening class last night 1A had Personal Prep, because we had just got back from expo. Personal Prep is where we can catch up on work our do laundry. I first did somethings on my weebly and then some washing. At 8:00pm we were allowed to have showers in that class, and because I had not had a shower since I had come back from expo, I thought it might be a good idea, since Max.D and I were the only ones that had not showed.
Daily Reflection Challenge: I think Madz has done well, and yes, the afternoon class was very relaxing. Madz has done well describing her day, as per usual. But she also described how she had been feeling throughout the day and what she has been thinking while doing things. I think she has gained a lot of confidence while on expo, and it had been showing in class. I think Madz has been doing well so far this term, keep it up!
